There are two kind of Korean writing model => hangeul & hanja. But it said that most modern Korean literature and informal writing is written entirely in hangeul, however academic papers and official documents tend to be written in a mixture of hangeul and hanja. So, lets learn Hangeul know..
Characteristics:
A. Number of letter: 24 (jamo): 14 consonants and 10 vowels. The letters are combined together into syllable blocks.
Hoho, its interesting, they pile the letters.
B. The shapes of the the consontants g/k, n, s, m and ng are graphical representations of the speech organs used to pronounce them. Other consonsants were created by adding extra lines to the basic shapes.
C. The shapes of the the vowels are based on three elements: man (a vertical line), earth (a horizontal line) and heaven (a dot). In modern Hangeul the heavenly dot has mutated into a short line.
D. Spaces are placed between words, which can be made up of one or more syllables.
E. The sounds of some consonants change depending on whether they appear at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of a syllable.
The Hangeul alphabet (한글)
The double consonants marked with * are pronounced fortis (strong pressure of the airstream below the glottis)??
There are some of alphabet letter that Hangeul don’t have, such as f, v, w, x, z,etc.. I wonder how they write foreign word with those letter like “love” will it be “lope” (haha) ..confused, depressed, arrghh -__-
Ok2..next..lets ignore the confusing part(hehe)
Oh, actually there're some methods to translate latin alphabet into korean (now,we don't need to worry-> the problems before can be solved)
